We’re off to the SAP Forum for the real estate industry with many exciting topics on board

We are getting the autumn event season started with a bundle of future-oriented digital topics. Alongside a live demonstration of efficient utility cost management, our customers Covivio and GEBAG will report on their ambitious plans and project successes.

Industry meeting in Berlin

The trade conference for Real Estate and Facility Management with SAP is taking place for the 25th time. This year, industry insiders and SAP experts will meet in Berlin from 26–27 September. The agenda isn’t officially available to view yet, but as this year’s main sponsor we can already give you a few insights.

GEBAG and Covivio as drivers of digitisation

The popular SAP event will open this year with a talk by the French real estate company Covivio. With their “Project One”, they have been working towards standardising their IT landscape towards an SAP® ERP system for joint use for a few years now. Their French branch has already been working successfully in S/4HANA® for two years now, and Italy recently joined them. The goal is to also migrate the SAP® system that has already been in use at their German company for over 20 years into the new S/4HANA® system within the next year and a half. Fabian Keil, project manager and Deputy Head of IT at Covivio Germany, will report on the project’s progress, explain the challenges of the multi-national project and provide an outlook on future optimisation plans.

The Duisburg-based housing company GEBAG made data processing of incoming invoices the target of a digitisation project. Their objective: to achieve maximum efficiency between suppliers and waste disposal companies in the housing industry. Kai van der Hoven, the company’s Head of IT, will explain in a user presentation how this resulted in greater sustainability and why GEBAG is an important component in the smart and connected city of Duisburg.

Speaking of sustainability, modern utility cost management from PROMOS fits in perfectly here. In light of societal, geo-political and legal changes, free access to consumption data and targeted energy saving measures are becoming ever more important. Dirk Krause, Head of Business Development and Partner Management at PROMOS, will exhibit the many options available to real estate owners and managers in the live demo “Revolution in the billing process – PROMOS initiates an open platform for utilities cost management with SAP®”.
