Saying goodbye to old formats and welcoming the new DATEV interface

Generally, interfaces are required to exchange various accounting data from your SAP® system with external DATEV systems, for example those of tax offices. These interfaces translate the required information flowing between the two systems into a common language. At the turn of the year 2017/2018, outdated data exchange formats have now been discontinued.

For more than 20 years, formats such as dispatch by mail and the former accounting format (ASCII until 2009) were used for exchanging data. On 1 January 2018, we had to say goodbye to these formats. With the New Year upgrade of the DATEV programs, the old formats can no longer be used. It’s the end of an era.

The outdated data exchange formats have been replaced with a new, more flexible DATEV format that was introduced in 2009 and, since then, has been continuously adapted to the legal requirements. For this reason, PROMOS has converted the DATEV interface to the new format.

Data transfer made easy

With the aid of the new version, you can easily export the existing data in your SAP® system and import it into the DATEV system. Mapping tables help you assign the source data to the correct target data. Mapping tables are available for G/L accounts, customers, vendors, tax codes, and DATEV cost centres. It is no longer necessary to convert your data separately. If you would like to restrict the interface design to certain company codes for each user, this is no problem. The solution includes intelligent authorisation logic. Logs document the success of the transaction in a clear and traceable manner.
