Jobs for students

Working students

As a student worker at PROMOS you

  • are enrolled at a university,
  • want to make new contacts,
  • would like to apply the knowledge from your studies in a practical setting.

As a student worker at PROMOS, you will work alongside your studies for a maximum of 20 hours per week during the university term (potentially more during the breaks between semesters). You will be a regular team member, gaining insight into the structures and processes of your department. From the very beginning, we integrate you into projects and assign you tasks with great responsibility. A personal mentor will guide you through the initial training period and continue to be available should you need support at any time.

This is meant to ensure that you do not neglect your studies. Your university obligations are also a top priority for PROMOS. We want you to build your practical experience parallel to your studies so that you will be perfectly prepared for entry into the job market. Your contract as a student worker ends as soon as you are no longer a student. However, that does not mean that your time at PROMOS is necessarily over. We are always interested in offering full-time positions to dedicated and talented young people.

Our transparent career model provides you with the ideal conditions for further professional and individual development at PROMOS and for taking the next step on the career ladder.

How do you become a student worker at PROMOS?

We offer student worker positions in almost every department at PROMOS. You can find all of our open positions in our job portal. If none of the vacancies looks suitable to you, we will gladly accept a speculative application.

The only prerequisite to receiving a student worker contract is matriculation at a higher education institution. You can thus only be a student worker as long as you are enrolled at a traditional or technical university. The workload amounts to a maximum of 20 hours per week and may only increase to 40 hours per week during holidays.

If we are impressed by your application, we will invite you to an interview. This first meeting serves as an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to learn more about PROMOS and the advertised position.

It is important to us to support your personal and professional development, and we want to offer you fair compensation. Flexible working hours, regular student get-togethers and a personal mentor round off the experience as a student worker at PROMOS.

Dual study at PROMOS

In cooperation with the Beuth University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, the HWTK Berlin and the EBZ in Bochum, we offer a dual study programme. This provides you with the opportunity to complete an exciting and diversified dual study programme at our company.

In cooperation with Beuth University in Berlin, we train our dual study students in the area of business administration. Every semester begins with a 13-week theory phase, followed by a 10-week praxis phase. You can thus establish sound foundational knowledge over the course of seven semesters. The offered modules range from accounting, commercial law and business English all the way to logistics, business informatics and work & organisational psychology.

In coordination with your personal mentor, you develop a plan of the order in which you will work through the various PROMOS departments. For comprehensive information on the dual study programme, visit the website of Beuth University.

In the dual bachelor’s programme in Business Informatics offered in cooperation with VICTORIA, former HWTK Berlin, our students learn to merge the principles of business and computer science. The dual study programme integrates praxis in a split-week model, guaranteeing your continuous integration into our company and your familiarisation with the practical tasks. This allows you to be integrated into day-to-day business at an early stage. Here you can also get to know the various consulting and development teams at PROMOS. For more information on this dual bachelor’s programme, visit the website of VICTORIA.

Parallel to the bachelor’s or master’s course in Real Estate Management at the EBZ Business School in Bochum, we offer a student assistantship at our branch office in Dortmund. PROMOS pays the tuition fees as part of this arrangement. For more information on this dual bachelor’s programme at the EBZ and to find your contact person, visit the EBZ website.
